Meet the Founder 

Who I Am

​

I am a UWI-trained Literature and Linguistics educator with over 14 years of teaching experience across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. I have lectured at the University of the West Indies and have held a full-time teaching post with the Ministry of Education since 2015, teaching English Language and Literature at the secondary level.

​

I am also a published writer, a trained communicator, and someone who has spent over a decade studying how language works and how people learn it, or fail to.

​

I founded Think-Top Educational Institute in St. Augustine, Trinidad in 2011 on one principle: every child can learn when instruction begins where they actually are, not where a syllabus assumes they should be.

​

What I Built and Why

​

Think-Top is not a drop-in tutoring service. It is a structured academic institution with a diagnostics-first model, a dedicated Reading Clinic using the Orton-Gillingham methodology, and a teaching team that holds postgraduate qualifications.

Our 99% examination pass rate is not a marketing line. It is the result of 14 years of refusing to guess at what a child needs.

Every student who comes to Think-Top Educational Institute is assessed first. We find out exactly where the gaps are. Then we teach to close them. That process is the same whether a child is preparing for SEA, sitting CSEC, or learning to read for the first time.

What Drives Me

​

I live for the moment a student realises they are more capable than they thought. Not because I told them so, but because the work proved it to them. That moment does not happen by accident. It happens because someone took the time to know that child, find the specific thing standing in their way, and remove it.

That is what Think-Top Educational Institute was built to do. That is what I show up to do every day.
